The Culture, Commerce & Connections Pitch Competition is more than just an event—it catalyzes change within our business community. New Orleans is bursting with creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. However, there’s still a pressing need for more support and visibility, particularly for underrepresented groups like BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women-identifying individuals, and people with disabilities.
This competition is about more than bridging the gap—it’s about fostering a thriving, inclusive ecosystem where every voice has the chance to succeed. By elevating these underrepresented voices, we create a future that is vibrant, equitable, and full of opportunity for all.

How Does It Work?

Fill out our online form to submit your pitch. Share details about your business, your idea, and your community impact. Don’t forget to include your business plan or pitch deck to strengthen your application.

We’ll review all applications carefully, looking for innovative ideas that have the potential to make a positive difference in the New Orleans community—particularly from underrepresented groups.

Once the applications are reviewed, we’ll select a group of finalists to pitch live at the event. Finalists will be notified by email.

You’ll present your pitch live if selected at the next Culture, Commerce & Connections event. You’ll have a set time to show your idea, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session with our judges.

After all the pitches are presented, our judges will deliberate and select winners based on the strength of the idea, potential community impact, and presentation quality. Prizes will be awarded to the top contenders.

Winners will receive funding and resources to help bring their ideas to life. Regardless of the outcome, all participants will walk away with valuable feedback, increased visibility, and new connections to help grow their businesses.
